- I am actually looking at it getting worse and worse everyday...its not just bout the piracy but the whole industry i mean we all the stakeholders are actually responsible for it... first its the political situation that has actually hampered the most...frequent strikes and bandhas has made it difficult to supply the albums into the market.... oh yea there was even this load shedding problem. Who would go and buy the album when there is no electricity to listen to it... - Naren Limbu

Naren Limbu
He is one of the immensely multi talented artist we have in the Nepali music industry. Who has given many hits songs and dozen of music video, and has a huge fan fallowing around the world, He is not only singer director but a very good football player too, His online interview with keran Limbu exclusively for bagaicha.com.

Keran- Naren Limbu is basically known as the band member of aastha does    aastha still exists?

Naren- aastha is always with in us...people still knows us as aastha even though sudip and I both have come out with our own solo albums...
We are planning to work together again and when that happens...aastha will remain in people’s heart forever...

keran-You have package of talents, singer, song writer, composer music video director and lot more but how would you like to be recognize?

Naren- I don’t really know what i would love to be recognised as...my dream is to be a filmmaker and. When I was a kid i wanted to be a footballer....  I am still discovering rite and myself now i kind of feel like jack of all masters of none....

keran- which songs of yours that just fallows you around where ever you go?

Naren-ahh that would be antim maya.... and its my personal fav. ...But yea i do get to hear other songs like timiaaunu aatma gaaro cha aswell.... i guess it’s because music video was also made on those songs...

Keran_ you are still single is it? Do  you believe in arrange marriage or love   marriage?

Naren- haha yea I am single! Don’t have anything like believing in arranged or love marriage.... both may and may not work. What i believe is in maintaining relationship.
Keran- what criteria you are looking in to your partner?

Naren-criteria...ahh!! Umm... aright.... i don want to lie or make myself sound good by saying beauty don really matter...hehhe
discipline comes at first. Someone who never forgets where we come from, our culture and society’s know how to carry herself out...some with power to rule me and lets me rule her as well...knows m always there for her but still not totally depend on me...pamper me and be pampered.... should have the sense of romance. And huge sense of humour bla bla bla hehei can actually go on but see it’s really hard to find some one like what u want. I guess the rite thing to do is may be trying to have a criteria that my partner wants in me.

Keran- if you want to dedicate one of your song to someone special who and which?

Naren- I am not a gift giving kind of person... i never gave my girlfriend anything    when we were together...so thought bout giving her something special.
i wrote and presented "khene numa kewa" u are beautiful to my girlfriend.....ahh i cud not really see how she felt in her face when i gave it to her....but
i would still choose that song....

Keran- what are you up to currently, any new album or music video coming up wants to share bit about it?

Naren-yea my album has just been released in the market. And the video is also being aired still waiting for the response. Feed backs. And yea currently working
on few other music videos to name one aangali by sabin rai...it’s a great song.

Keran- does your new album have some meaning or something that you want to deliver through your song?

Naren-My songs are my expressions. What i write is what i feel.
aash is all bout me...things that i have gone through and that i have felt....

Aash i have an emotional attachment with this title song. I wrote it when i was going through my painful break up. Its bout hoping to be together again Somebody i think my fans will feel funny listening to me singing song like this and enjoy its R&B beat at the same time...me and my friends use to club most of the Friday nights. Look out for ladies and ask for the dance and get rejected most of the time.

Parichaya

sudip and i introduced ourselves as aastha and came out with our self titled album aastha in 2003 but only in 2007 we had a real chance to be with our fans during aastha tour. The love and the support they showed to us made me write this five line song.... i wanted thank them and tell them" this is our moment. Lets enjoy it together" every time we were on the stage.

khene numa kewa

I am not a gift giving kind of person...i never gave my girlfriend anything when we were together.....i wanted to give her something special and different and the idea of this song popped into my head.khene numa kewa is a limbu language which means you are beautiful.

Mero man

Simple love song that i wrote thinking bout my little niece Namahang.... sometimes little baby brings different kind of joy into ur life. He brought one in mine.

Pailo prayas

pailo prayas is bout making love.....understanding her moves, feeling her breath, knowing her smell....most of the people knows me as someone who writes sad songs so i thought bout written something joyful, Its not just bout making love but knowing her from deep inside.

Aaudaichu..

U would definitely love to listen to this song while you are in a long drive. Its bout how u don want to miss the chance to be they’re for her and letting her know that you are coming.

Keran- what do you think music in Nepal is getting better or worse?

Naren- I am actually looking at it getting worse and worse everyday...its not just bout the piracy but the whole industry i mean we all the stakeholders
are actually responsible for it...
first its the political situation that has actually hampered the most...frequent strikes and bandhas has made it difficult to supply the albums into the
market.... oh yea there was even this load shedding problem. Who would go and buy the album when there is no electricity to listen to it...

Record label. They don really have proper marketing strategies and a promotional campaign just showing thirty seconds of promotional video is not going to working the modern market....
most of them don even work in professional way. You know chineko manche.. Or yati paisa de album nikaldinchu and all...
they are ready to produce any kind of album. Albums that has actually spoiled the image of whole industry’s don mind if i don fit and if i get rejected
but because of this listeners don believe in us anymore we need to win back their faith again.

i don’t think media has done enough to make the industry look more fascinating or interesting. There are lot u can do...people are actually bored with the same old style. I guess I can’t say anything to the listeners for finding an easy way to copy or download songs...We got huge problems and it’s complicated. We all need to have this understanding of help me to help you. Coz we are all interrelated....

Keran- what you want to say to the young music artist who wants to be like you?
Naren
- definitely not to be like me he he!!!

keran- You been to
Hong Kong many times what was your experience every time and what you have to say about this city?
Naren
-yea thrice .its fun every time i go their .at least i get a chance to be with my brother and his family. And of course get to meet my fans as well. I love
Chenchau Island Seafood, cycling and the beach everything its fun to be there.

Keran-Last what you want to say to bagaicha.com and the viewers?

Naren- Thank you very much bagaicha.com ,for giving me  the opportunity  to  reach the fans of Hong Kong and keep supporting me by listing my songs…
